Equipping the Next Generation of Changemakers
The Community Leadership program aims to develop thoughtful and capable young leaders who are ready to tackle real-world challenges in meaningful ways. Through a structured community project, students examine critical issues related to sustainability, equity, and social responsibility. Participants will deepen their understanding of what it means to lead with purpose by developing skills in leadership, communication, critical thinking, and self-awareness. With guidance from experienced mentors and guest speakers, students participate in experiences that encourage exploration, reflection, and leadership in action. Students are introduced to the interconnected systems that shape our environment and daily lives, exploring the long-term impacts of human activity on the planet. They explore ideas around sustainable living, responsible resource use, and environmental stewardship, learning how individual and collective choices contribute to a more sustainable future. This foundation encourages students to think critically about their role in creating lasting, positive change.
The program highlights shared responsibility, ethical decision-making, and understanding how individual choices impact the world around us. Students are encouraged to think critically, challenge assumptions, and start to define the type of leader they aspire to become. Ideal for young people interested in sustainable living, social change, and purposeful leadership.
Upon completing the program successfully, students receive a certificate that enhances post-secondary applications and demonstrates a strong commitment to leadership, social responsibility, and community engagement.
